I’ve had it with Bush

June 14th, 2007

I’ve been trying to avoid politics, but enough’s enough. George W Bush is the worst President we’ve ever had. He’s a traitor, and an America-hater. He’s sold out America to his corporate interests.

I’m so fucking sick of his “if you’re not with me, you’re against me” bullshit. That’s something a tyrant will say. Oh wait, never mind.

This amnesty thing will be the death of this country. A lot of fellow bloggers have been rallying hard against it. I’ve been rallying hard against it. And I never will forgive what he did to some of our finest Border Patrol agents. Those guys should get medals, not jail.

Bush’s H1-Bs have destroyed my profession. Very few people I know are doing better now than they were when Clinton was President in my profession, because Bush likes Indians better than Americans. Yes, I know, H1-Bs were around before Bush. But Bush expanded them to the point where the software industry sucks. I’ll elaborate more on this point later.

And gun control - the one issue I expect Bush to be on the right side of. 2004, he gave me a real bad scare when he said he’d sign the Clinton Gun Ban if it landed on his desk. Thankfully, it didn’t.

The environment’s going to take decades to recover from his Presidency. I won’t even bother to elaborate here.

This country will take decades to recover from the economic mess he’ll leave us. Clinton gave us a surplus. It’s because Clinton was an economic conservative. He understood that you need to cut spending. And look what happened. Best economy in my lifetime under Clinton. Now we owe China, fucking China, billions of dollars and we’re heavily in debt. Your kids will be paying China for a long time. Bush makes Carter look like a conservative.

And you might notice I didn’t even need to bring up Iraq.

Fuck Bush. I’ve had enough. Is it 2009 yet?

P.S. Thanks to all those who have been fighting amnesty for illegals. I wish I could see you at that rally (you all know who you are), but will be busy this weekend.

P.P.S. I know most of you hate her, but she’s finally right on.  Read Ann Coulter’s column.  She finally disagrees with Bush on something.  It’s about time, Ann.

After reading Coulter’s article, am starting to think maybe we would be better off calling in the UN or the French to patrol the border. This is their bread-and-butter… or would that be croissant?

You know I was just telling J the other day I hate politics because what happens is one president makes a mess the next one that comes in four or eight years later as now has to clean up the mess the one before him started each time. Its not just one thing it keeps going and going. Its right down ridiculous really. I agree with you though. Bush has pushed us all to far. Nice post though

yes, you could get through that without ever mentioning iraq…..you also forgot NCLB…i could go on quite at length over that travesty.

Well, it’s pretty telling when our president refers to the government as “his government”. Even if he didn’t intend to say that, it shows what he really thinks.

I called that bastards office this morning, as well as Senator Feinsteins office. I left the same message. Paraphrasing, I said,

I have given up trying get you to support the wishes and desires of the American people in regards to illegal immigration. It is obvious you have your own agendas and the welfare of the American people are not part of it.

I want you to know that when the history books are written, your little cadre of pro illegal aliens supporters will be written about as the folks who brought about the downfall of the United States of America. Thank you very much!

Welcome back to the party. You’ve been missed. I agree with you on the amnesty rule. 8 years and $10,000 and my cousin STILL doesn’t have his Green Card. Not only that, his wife was just denied a visa, and in order for him to prove they’re married, he’s have to spend another $5,000 with no guaruntee that she’ll be able to come to the States. Amnesty is a travesty for all those who have invested YEARS of their lives trying to go through the process legally. And why are we making new laws? Wh not ENFORCE THE OLD ONES. Fine peolple who give illegals jobs. Fine people who give illegals housing. allow hospitals to report them AFTER they’ve been treated. Require that schools report them if they can prove it.

George Bush is bad at being president, no question.

Worst ever? Well I can’t follow you down that path really, after all he’s got FDR, Wilson, Lincoln, and Truman to contend with.

I’ll go backwards this time. ;)
Scott - Ok. Worst ever? I was just pissed. maybe not the worst ever, but he’s definitely up there for bad. I think the amnesty and his economics will do a lot more long-term damage to the country than the crap those others you mentioned did.

United - Excellent example. Legal aliens have to do all kinds of loops and hurdles to become a citizen. Amnesty is such a slap in the face to the legal immigrants, who will eventually become wonderful Americans.

Neal - Wish I was at the march right now instead of stuck here. Had some personal crap that had to be attended to. We all loved all the work and the emails you’ve been doing. I’ve forwarded your emails on to a lot of friends and they’re completely in agreement, and impressed by your writing. They’ve been copy and pasting some of their ideas to their letters to their Reps, so what you’ve been doing has been making a huge difference.

Notta - That’s exactly how he feels. He wishes he doesn’t have other branches of government to get in his way, and of course those things called “American citizens.” How dare they get in his way. I have very little respect for this guy.

Lime - Please do. I didn’t even mention the Total Information Awareness either. Orwell’s rolling in his grave.

Tweety - Yeah. I keep thinking that there’s no way this guy could be worse than the next guy, and unfortunately, they prove me wrong.

Yonder - They can’t possibly do worse. It’s because our Border Patrol has to do their job with one hand tied behind their backs. They’re also overworked and underpaid badly.

Gosh I wish Coulter would have written like this years ago. She definitely has the brains, but she was such a puppet until recently.

The only people who have benefited from this administration are Bush’s business cronies!

Tshsmom - That reminds me. I’ll have to do a post on the middle class squeeze.

holy hell, how could i forget the patriot act!? gads….i’m so depressed as i watch this listy grow longer and longer…

  12. comment number 12 by: Tweetey29

Middle class squeeze??? LOL.. You are talking to some one who lives from paycheck to paycheck. I mean I could fix that and go back to work but why when child care is so expensive now a days. I would lose half my paycheck to child care its not funny. Hope your suprise for the Mrs went well. Or I am behind a week. I thought you said this weekend. Sorry about the mistake if I made one.

  13. comment number 13 by: Zombieslayer

Lime - I completely forgot it too. Wow, if we ended up making a list, we’ll be wondering when it’s going to end.

Tweety - Too much of America is working paycheck to paycheck. It’s a scary though, especially when retirement’s going to be pushed off.

A scary story for you - one of the ladies my wife works with is in her 70s. Doesn’t have the money to retire, and a week ago, collapsed at work. She came close to dying while working. It’s really sad. I think a lot of Americans will have to forgo retirement and work until they almost collapse.

  14. comment number 14 by: Tweetey29

Oh my goodness. I hope she is alright. I know a lady that is in her 70’s also but chooses to work full time plus. On top of that she has a foreign exchange student with her. Its amazing really how people go now adays. Yes that is very scary when people like that woman collapses. I hope we dont end up doing that. I mean J has his 401K plan but who says that wont crash sometime. but this living payday to payday gets hard sometimes. With the refinance we will have some extra to put back in the back so that will help a little and then hopefully carry us till taxes again in January. Well enough of my complaining how was your fathers day???? Want details on how the wife and child did all your chores for you and what they bought you that you have wanted for along time. LOL.. Only picking. Only if you want to share with us.

Tweety - Junior’s in Montana with his Grandpa. So I took Mrs. Z out and just had a good time visiting friends.

401k’s go up and down, but long-term, they’re one of the best investments you can make, if you buy the right funds. I’m currently invested 100% stocks, no bonds, which is very aggressive. When the market softens, I’ll be a little bit more conservative, but don’t want to lose out on this bull market.

We don’t know if she’s doing to be alright. It was bad, really bad. She’ll live, but she looks pretty bad. She’s pushing 80, and really shouldn’t be working, but we all know how much Social Security is paying, and with all the drugs she has to take, I doubt she’s doing ok financially.

Your friend though probably works because she loves it. Or at least I hope. This lady works because she has to.

Thanks for asking about her, and about my father’s day. I hope J’s was good. :)

I try to stay away from politics because I find it upsetting. Although I was delighted when Sarkozy became the new French president, I liked his no nonsense, no rubbish style from his first day in the service of Chirac who was a liar, I voted for him and he did not do any of the things he promised.

As for Bush Vs Clinton, I liked the latter and don’t get me started on the former. Hubby and I had an strong argument with a friend two weeks ago because he is totally pro-Bush, his wife kept apologising for his opinion.

La - I’m economically Right-wing, and a gun nut, but I still hate Bush. He’s managed to alienate just about everybody outside of the U.S. Plus, he’s only thinking of his own corporate interests and does not have the interests of America and her people in mind at all. We’ll be feeling the effects of this Presidency for years afterwards.
