Odds and Ends
June 20th, 2007Had a nice walk with Mrs. Z tonight. Right outside our house, we’re in nature. We have deer, raccoons, and skunks that come into our yard all the time. The deer and the raccoons I like. We learned the hard way that the best way to get rid of the skunk smell on the dogs is with tomato juice and shampoo.
The nice thing about having Native American friends is you learn a lot. My dog was sniffing some crap, and I immediately recognized it as from a coyote. Not only that, the coyote recently ate a rabbit. Lucky guy. Bet it was delicious. Sorry SME.
Anyone can identify horse and cow manure. But can you identify bear, wild boar, mountain lion, coyote, bobcat, and deer? I can. You’re probably thinking “who cares?”

I’m listening to The Killers 1st album. I now own them both and like them both, although I like Hot Fuss better. Speaking of music, read Badman’s review of that concert he and I went to. Got to love Badman’s writing, it’s even more pretentious than mine.
More bitching about the President
So it’s now official. You all know how much I hate the President. Illegal immigration is such a slap in the face to legal immigrants. It will also be the downfall of this country. Legal immigrants love being Americans. Illegals don’t vote, breed like rabbits and let their kids run amok in movie theaters, restaurants, bars, and in front of cars. They care even less about their children’s education than I care about American Idol.
To top it all off, too many of their kids are in gangs. Our public education system is in shambles, but everyone’s too chickenshit p.c. to admit it. We spend all our extra education money here in California on ESL and have to cut classes we need like Gifted/Talented, Art, Music, Drama, and Shop. I’ve always thought immigrants were supposed to higher standards, not lower them. I guess George W Bush can’t get that through his thick skull. Sometimes I think we have our first retarded President.
If you don’t live in California, you may not see how bad this country will be yet. But trust me, it will spread. Your test scores will go down, your crime will go up, and so will your taxes. Great things to look forward to, especially now that Social Security is in trouble and we owe billions to China.
Sorry for my rampant profanity in my last political post. I thought I made it clear that this is more an adult site than the old blog. No, I’m not posting nekkid hotties, but my language will be unedited unlike before.
The next few days, I’ll have some free time and finally visit your blogs. It’s been too long…

Now on with the pressing political aspect of things. On the news last night they had a clip of Bush veteoing some thing. I am not quite sure what exactly. Sorry I am still half a sleep. Then they had a town meeting about all the immigrants and what to do about them and one guy said it could take days,weeks, months or even years to fix this problem we have with them. Come on people where is this going. Life is a box of chocolates and right now we have a mixed box with a bunch of illegals in it. LOL.. Have a great day.

As far as the immigration solution, I’m not sure I agree with you, but it is indeed a problem. The solution is unclear, but in any case, I’m sure Bush will fuck it up. That’s pretty much guaranteed.
What I don’t understand, is why is Bush making us get passports to go to Canada, but lets millions of illegals cross our southern border? Doesn’t he think the Taliban will figure out how to stroll in with the illegals?
Yes, I know my poop too. They all shit in MY yard, with the exception of wild boars and cougars. Coyotes haven’t ventured into inhabited areas here yet. They still have lots of wild areas to hunt in. We do have a couple of foxes though. They’ve really helped thin out the mouse and chipmunk populations.
Tweety - That’s great that you walk. I’ve always said the benefit is more mental than physical. It gives me time to think and relax.
Jean - Happy Solstice to you too. If I were in more Northern California, I’d be celebrating it. But I’m kind of in the ‘burbs outside San Francisco now and nobody celebrates it here.
Just - Well, you probably know more poops than I do then. The thing I really want to learn are tracks. There are still a lot that I confuse.

I will post some pix of last weekend today I forgot about till just now. Like I said we went out to the one of the places for J to play Frizbee golf with a friend and then us girls went on the trails for a bit. But Brianna got bit pretty bad in her back and one of the mysquito bites got swollen. Its down now but it was huge my poor baby.
i can recognize bear shit, rabbit shit and deer shit since i see those animals frequently. the other ones you mention just don’t frequent the areas i go.
oh yeah, and bullshit is really easy to identify. it pours outta dubya every time he opens his mouth.
Well, it’s important to know poop if you’re out in the woods so that you know which animal(s) are around to take a bite out of your ass.

I liked the Killers first album better, but I overheard it, I think I also overplayed Sam’s Town; they were showing them play live from Glastonbury on TV an hour ago, they put up a good show.
It is kinda cool to recognise the poop from different animals. I’ve learnt to recognise wild boars’ tracks and poop as a kid so I’d know if there are any boars around and be cautious. (That’s in our summer house South East of France)

Seems when they decided that they wanted us americans to all have passports to travel to canada and mexico and all the little surrounding islands here ( PR) they didnt know it was going to cause such HUGE lines of people trying to get their passports..

Tweety - Garlic wards off mosquitoes. I don’t know how much kids like the taste of garlic though. It’s a hunter’s secret. He eats lots of garlic before he goes out, but doesn’t tell his friends and his friends get all the mosquitoes while he sits back and relaxes at the campfire.

One of the major problems with the immigration issue is that instead of enforcing the laws that already exist, they’re making new laws and circumventing the entire system, making those who have been working for years to get their citizenship legally VERY angry. There are plenty of illegal immigrants who have only broken the law by coming into or staying in the country once their visa expires. There are also many made illegal by having promises brokien by their employer. But too many are in gangs, not enough care about education, and the same can be said for American Citizens as well.

Very true. I hear it from legal immigrants all the time, all the loops and hurdles they go through and illegals simply get amnesty.
