Congrats Giants!
February 4th, 2008Congratulations to the Giants. I knew they were going to win, and made a small bet that they’d cover the spread. The thing is, I didn’t need those 13 points. The Giants played a great game and Coughlin, the Giants coach, simply outcoached the Patriot coach. He had some defensive tricks that wiped out the greatest offense in the history of the NFL. He played it like a chess game, and won.
Speaking of well-done, I purchased two afghans from Tweety last month. Let me tell you honestly - they are really good quality, and pretty too. You could tell Tweety puts a lot of effort in them. Right now, Mrs. Z is reading a book under the bigger one. She chose the colors, which is a good thing because I’m partially color blind. As a child, I thought the colors of the stoplight were red, yellow, and blue until I learned that that’s green, not blue.
Check out her work here.
And speaking of hand made products, has anyone ever been to Color Me Mine? I got invited to go with some friends. Yes, I love anything related to art and as a kid, I used to make my own pottery. If you have, let me know if it’s a good time or not.
hey1 i REALLY like this theme a lot! Mrs. Z gave good advice.
we were a house divided on the superbowl. the boy and i went to bed feeling rather disappointed but even i coudl tell the giants earned that win.
tweety does nice work. nothing like a handmade afghan. i have several my grandmother made years ago and i love them.
That 4th quarter was as good as it gets. And I’m proud to say I didn’t watch a single Super Bowl commercial.
I wasn’t sure I came to the right website. Is this your spring look?
I knit constantly, in fact, looking forward to doing it in about 30 minutes at a 3-hour all hands meeting where it’ll be all I can do not to fall asleep.
I love making things by hand too, anything to keep my little fingers busy.
Congratulations on the outcome of the bet!
I popped over to Tweety’s place - thank you for the link!
Lime - Yes. You could tell she puts a lot of pride in her work. And yes, the Giants earned that win. They were like Rocky Balboa against Ivan Drago.
Skeletor - They sucked. You didn’t miss anything.
Kathleen - Knitting is good for you. It helps offset regenerative brain diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. It’s all about the hand movement. Playing an instrument is really good too.
And no, this is my new permanent look. Mrs. Z said the colors are good so I took her word for it for I’m partially color-blind.
Jay - Heh, I guess read what I said to Kathleen. Using your fingers is a good thing.
Miladysa - Thanks. And you’re welcome.
Good taste your lady has, ZS. Thanks for mentioning Tweety’s work, she’s a good soul.
I too was happy about the Giants–not that I cared enough to watch. My aunt said that the word around town (NYC) was that the guy who won the game wasn’t as good as his famous football playing relatives. Guess he showed them, huh?
Bridget - I hope Tweety can get more work. For her, every bit helps. It’s really good quality work too.
Yeah, the guy who won the game wasn’t as good, but he played with heart. In his case, heart beat talent, and that was fun to watch.
Maybe Belichick isn’t such a genius when he isn’t privy to opposing formations and hand signals. It’s a thought.
Scott - I think he is, but he got outsmarted. He’s not the only genius in the NFL.
He is a cheater though. He will do anything to win, including going beyond the rules. I personally think the punishment wasn’t harsh enough.
