Go Protesters!

April 9th, 2008

As we speak, in San Francisco, it’s a mess.

As you may know, the 2008 Olympics will be held in Beijing.  The torch right now is supposed to go through San Francisco, but protesters are blocking the streets.

The Chinese have brought in special paramilitary police (and of course our pussy President Bush gave them the ok) to “protect the torch carrier.”  The paramilitary police are acting like Nazi thugs (and you know me, I don’t say those words lightly).

The protesters are protesting for various reasons - from the dismal Chinese human rights records to the cultural genocide they’re committing in Tibet.  There have already been clashes between both pro-China and pro-Tibet protesters and the streets are filled with people.

It is unlikely that the torch will be passed as the original route is literally blocked with people.  They’ll try to re-route but once again that will be blocked.

Two things I have to say about it - 1) Go Protesters! I may join them.  2)  Bush is the worst President we’ve had in decades.  He’s a pussy, and as America falls into Third World status, remember who was running the country when it all began.

You got to love how President Bush talks all day about fighting evil, and meanwhile he’s giving his nation away to China by continuing Clinton’s most favored nation status and looking the other way as our manufacturing base is all going there.

You wonder why the economy sucks.  Well, let’s see - 1) manufacturing base goes to China.  2) Middle-class goes to India.  3) illegals undercut farm labor.  And no, Bush’s tax cuts are not going to work because there’s nobody left to pay taxes except for the super rich whose taxes have been cut and the super rich, assholes like Bill Gates, are sending the jobs to India, not to Americans.

Maybe this will wake some people up.

    Tax break? What tax break?
I had to pay my taxes with the tax break!

What does China have against a peaceful religion? Oh my God! They’re not killing anybody! We have to kill them!

    Poor Buddhists. Screw China!

Kate - They’re simply imperialistic pigs. I’ll have to do a blog post on what they’re doing to Tibet. It’s really sick.

And yeah, I owe in taxes too. What tax break is right.

Well said ZS! Thanks for Standing Up on this one - I have linked back to you.

I told you Bush sucked. You said to give him a chance.

A number of the comments at sfgate today were defending China saying that when they invaded Tibet in 195?, the Dalai Lama and the others who fled were slave owners, so somehow it’s okay to do what they’re doing now. I only read one page of comments before I had to stop because stupid people piss me off.

I think we should boycott the Games - all of them, not just the opening ceremony.

Peoplewwake up, ever. Why because they don’t give a fuck. They are to worried about other stuff than to worry about the state of the country. If people ver call Bush a conservitive then they are window lickers. He is a pussy, had he not been he would have bitch slapped this nations losers like Pelosi, reed and their ilk and told them to sit down and shut up. The saddest thing is is that yu are right the tax cuts wont work but tax increases wil kill us, 2 out or 3 possibles have vowed to raise them.
Also understand who allots money for spending. The house and Senate, when did the economy falter? who was in charge.
I have no love for bush but he beats the loser party all day, everyday.

Sage - Yes, Bush is not a conservative. he inherited a surplus, but because his spending was through the roof and he didn’t veto anything, we have a huge deficit and the economy is in shambles.

I hate Pelosi too, and can’t stand the Democrats either. The thing that sucks is we had one good guy, a true conservative and a guy who understood both Freedom and economics - Ron Paul, and he didn’t stand a chance.

Kathleen - That would be an excellent rant. Good point.

Let’s see, these people over there are oppressive, so let’s move in and oppress them even worse. Sure, makes sense.

    JJ - I give everyone a chance.

    Miladysa - Heading over…

Granny - I should rant that.

Lime - Yes, the torch “protectors” were Chinese military troops. Bush should be tried for treason for allowing them on our soil.

Hadn’t heard about the Chinese paramilitary force protecting the torch. But, remember back after Katrina Bush let the Mexican armed forces and a Mexican amphibious landing ship on our land and in our waters to provide aid since most of our forces were (and are) tied up in Iraq. The country will wake up at some point and Bush will be remembered as the WORST president ever over all the others. I only pray that the international house of cards he has presided over doesn’t collapse and start WW3.

Beach - Yes, I remember that.

Bush should be tried for treason. You do not bring foreign troops on American soil.

But we might be looking at WW3. Bush’s diplomacy skills are horrible, and we still haven’t caught Osama because we’re wasting time in the wrong place. I want Osama’s head on a pike.

The Chinese gov’t is a great one to talk about slave labor! They brought in workers from the countryside to build structures for the Olympics. Living conditions for the workers were deplorable! Then, the gov’t reneged on paying many of the workers. Most of the workers didn’t wind up with enough money to get back home again.

    Douse that torch! Free Tibet!
