Urgh.  I picked up the paper in my Chiropractor’s office and the front page has President Obama’s 1st 100 days.  The very first line is about how the “first black President” is doing in his 1st 100 days.  Knock that the **** off!

I’m tired of hearing it.  I’d like to believe Obama was elected because people thought he was the best person for the job and had NOTHING to do with his race.  In fact, people need to stop looking at race, period.

The media just perpetuates racism by focusing on his race over and over and over and over again.  Knock it off already.

I’m hoping Obama is remembered as the guy who got us out of a horrible recession and a President who respected the Constitution.  That’s what I want from Obama.  Do you really want him to be remembered solely for his race? If so, we still have a long way to go.

Or maybe we don’t, but the media does.  Screw them.  Seriously, I won’t shed a tear when the newspapers all go out of business.  They deserve it.

You hear the term “liberal media” all the time, and liberals tend to get really pissed off when they hear it.  Well, do you want to know why it’s used? Because there is some truth to it.

Guns are the perfect example.  The anti-gun media loves to spout off lies about guns and they do absolutely no fact checking.  When normal people hear that crap, it kind of makes the media look like it has a liberal bias.

Example One - The gun show loophole.  I hear this lie all the time.  Look, I’ve been to more gun shows in more states than you have.  I know gun shows.  There is NO gun show loophole.  If you think there is, I have a homework assignment for you.  I want you to buy an assault rifle from a gun show without a background check.

Go ahead.  That’s your homework assignment.  Now, if you end up in jail, don’t complain to me.

Example Two - President Obama, who’s quickly showing he’s just as stupid as the last ass clown, keeps spouting off how 90% of guns bought by Mexican drug lords are bought legally in the United States.  And the media loves it and keeps quoting it as fact.

It’s a lie.  A huge, blatant lie.  If you believe that, I have another homework assignent for you.  Go to a gunshow and try to buy rocket launchers, grenades, and assault rifles (the real definition, not the definition made up by the liberal media).  If you end up in jail, don’t complain to me.

These are the facts.  The drug lords are getting the majority of their guns from the black market in Mexico itself, with fragmentation grenades from South Korea, AK-47s from China, and shoulder-fired rocket launchers from Spain, Israel and former Soviet bloc manufacturers.  They’re also getting it from the Russian mafia.  Interpol is well aware of this, as they know both the Poldolskaya and the Solntsevskaya are trafficking drugs and arms in Mexico.

An other big source - South American revolutionaries.  FARC (from Columbia) has plenty of left over drugs and guns to sell Mexico.

An other big source - according to the Amnesty International, China (big surprise, NOT).  Plenty of Chinese assault rifles and Korean explosives have been found in Mexico.

Yet an other big source - deserters from the Mexican army, taking their assault rifles made in Belgian with them.  150,000 have deserted within the past six years.  Source - Mexican Congressman Robert Badillo.

Yet an other big source - the Mexican-Guatemalan border.  Yes, Guatemala.

President Obama and the liberal media both need to check their facts before spouting off their ignorance.

Want to help Mexico end the drug wars?

Do you really want to help Mexico end their drug wars? Legalize drugs.  Yes, legalize them outright.  You also realize the tax revenue we’re losing by having drugs illegal? It’s not just the crime that will pretty much disappear.  It will pretty much disappear in this country as well.

Legalize drugs and you have a better nation.  No, not everyone will go around on drugs if they’re legal.  I don’t do drugs, other than caffeine (a painkiller, I’m in chronic pain from car accidents and old football, MMA injuries) and alcohol (thins my blood), and I have no desire to add to that.  Heck, the caffeine I’m eventually going to phase out, but I plan on living to be in my 90s so I’ll continue doing alcohol (if anyone wants to argue with me that moderate alcohol is bad for you, believe me, I’ll make you look like a jackass so don’t even start).

Illegals run up our health care costs

As far as I’m concerned, if you try to slip these following facts under the rug, you lose the Right to complain about health care costs. My mother is a damn good Medical Professional with a work ethic that would put 99% of Americans to shame and has worked in some of the best hospitals in the entire WORLD.

She’s told me about this problem years ago. People like Nancy Pelosi like to slip this under the rug, as Pelosi doesn’t live in the real world. She needs to go asap.

War is Hell.  No, not from personal experience.  I have never served my country, so can’t tell you.  But being a political activist, martial artist, and gun nut, I’ve known, shot with, and worked out with a lot of folks who have.  Plus coming originally from the Working Class, got plenty of friends and family as well.

I am not a hawk and am very much against rushing into war.  For one, war is hell on peoples’ bodies.  You’re out there serving your country then get a leg blown off.  You can’t exactly grow one back.

For another, shell shock is real.  Sure you got some homeless people who make up stories so you’d give them money, but you also have homeless people who can’t hold a job because they haven’t recovered emotionally from the scarring of war.

I’ve known brave men who have come back and can’t sleep in the same bed as their wives because they get violent flashbacks in their sleep.  I’ve known brave men who come back and try to drink the images out of their head.  I’ve known a brave soul who had to clean up the pieces of his best friend who got blown up by a grenade.

You don’t rush into war

It’s all easy for someone from the Upper Class to sit back and call people cowards who don’t rush into every chance at war we got.  They won’t be rushing into battle any time soon, and neither will their kids.

I always support my troops, and especially the families of the troops.  The families are here at home and soldiers simply don’t make that much.  It’s not easy for a child to not have a father at home, and it’s not easy on the mother either.  Imagine worrying every time you see the news when a soldier gets killed if that’s your husband they’ll be bringing home in a box.  I can’t imagine what that will be like.

I have utmost respect for people who serve.  I never did.  Long story why and I’m not going to go into it right now.

That doesn’t mean I’m anti-war

I am by no means anti-war.  I’m just for fighting the wars we’re supposed to fight.  Afghanistan, yes.  Iraq, no.  Why wasn’t Bush impeached for lying about Iraq’s involvement in 9/11? Even worse in my book, Osama bin Laden’s still out there.  Had we committed to ONE war, we’d have him by now.  Instead, we spread ourselves too thin and let him get away.  For all we know, he’s probably hiding in Pakistan now.

I’m not anti-violence either

I’ve trained for years self-defense simulations with or without weapons.  I’ll tell you right now that I’d rather have a gun than a knife and a knife than being unarmed and if I’m unarmed, I hope I’m at least carrying a Maglite.  If someone breaks into my house, they will die by a shotgun blast.

I’ve trained for that moment for years.  I sincerely hope it never happens.  Not because I’ll have remorse for that moron.  I won’t.  But I know I won’t be able to get that image out of my head.

But force is something you hope you never have to use.  Same goes for war, except war is on a much higher scale.

There is no glory in war, folks.  You can have all the medals in the world, but nothing will grow you back that leg or bring your best friend back from the dead.

As of now, Mrs. Z and I are supporting the families of the soldiers we know personally any way we can.  Imagine having the money you had coming in suddenly be cut in half.  Think you can get by? Think you can get by knowing your spouse is overseas in a war zone and can be ambushed and killed at any time? Or your son?

We need to start thinking clearly before sending our citizens to all these wars.
