What do to about North Korea?
June 1st, 2009If you were POTUS (President of the United States), what would you do about North Korea building nuclear warheads that can reach Alaska?
I’d tell you what I would do. It would have never come to think point. I would have destroyed their facilities long ago.
It’s just a shame that the previous POTUS and the guy before him are morons. Instead, we’re bogged down in a meaningless war in Iraq which is bogging us down in a war we should have won by now in Afghanistan.
North Korea is hands down the most evil country on the face of this Earth. It was a mistake to let them even get this far.
It’s really a shame that the international community are a bunch of pussy appeasers. You cannot trust these people with nukes. They are evil. And they are crazy, which is possibly even worse than evil.
God help South Korea and Japan.
I don’t think Bush was a moron at all. Who can say for sure why he didn’t deal with North Korea? It could have been the politically charged climate; he could have thought the Chinese would not in a million years allow NK to acquire weapons. I certainly don’t think Condi was a moron.
What would I do? I would mow it all down, all their weapons facilities. I would do like Dick Morris suggests and help Japan to arm up and let China know I was doing it. I wouldn’t stand by and let it happen, seeing that everyone in the vicinity is doing just that. Maybe I would make it look like NK was threatening China to kick them into gear. I don’t know. I would consider a lot of options from my cabinet but I would take action yesterday.
This may surprise you, but I actually am a big fan of Condi. The sad thing is she’s tied to the Bush administration, which like Bush or hate Bush, his popularity is very, very low.
I wrote a post awhile back about letting Japan rearm and looking the other way as Japan destroyed NK’s facilities. Now it’s too late. It should have been done awhile back.
And yes, the other option would have been to simply let China, Russia, South Korea, and Japan know what we were going to do and do it ourselves. NK with nukes is a very bad thing.
I knew Obama would do nothing, so I was hoping Bush would have done something. That’s why I’m so pissed at Bush about the whole thing. Condi was simply following Bush’s orders, so she’s not the one to blame in this.
Kim Jung Il is in bad health, so let’s hope he dies quickly. There’s a slight chance one of his sons won’t take over. North Korea should have been stopped before they even posed a threat.
All South Korean males are required to do 2 years military service, so let’s hope they’re ready if North Korea does something.
If Kim Jung Il cares about his people at all, the U.N. can give them all the food they need in exchange for checking their weapons facilities.

I’m actually worried about South Korea. You can’t stop a nuclear warhead. If you shoot it down, you still get the crap all over the place.
Sanctions aren’t working. They’re going to need to start playing hardball.
Bush did not have the brains to deal with anything. Here is what we should do. Clinton should meet with the North Korean leader in Japan. We need to outwordly build up his ego. At the meeting Clinton should offer full diplomatic relations with North Korea and promises of trade in exchange for North Korea turning over all of their nuclear facilities and complete nuclear disarmament with unlimited inspections. Should North not agree Clinton should threaten a total blockade and a military strike.

What you’re saying is logical. The thing is, it would make perfect sense to anyone who is logical. North Korea is not logical. They’re crazy. Logic goes in one ear and out the other with crazy people.
